Hi Richard, I tried to email you using the last email address you used to write to the list but it bounced. Nothing to do with cider or this wiki, can you get mail me please with an address I can reply to? --Andy 22:03, 27 June 2006 (UTC)
richard (at) systemeD.net - as on the list but without the 'f'. --Richard Fairhurst 23:33, 27 June 2006 (UTC)
I managed to add Northleach by editing a section. But the problem with editing the whole Gloucestershire page remains. Symptoms are the same as what happens when adding rss tags into pages, since upgrading to mediawiki 1.6 and adding an rss rendering moudule. It may be caused by an incompatibility with PHP 4, which is getting a bit old now. I think my hosting service needs to upgrade to PHP 5, because mediawiki 1.7 onwards is not backwards compatible.
Meanwhile, I don't know why it;s happening on teh Gloucesetr page but splitting off Bristol may help to narrow it down. --Andy 22:02, 16 July 2006 (UTC)
update: after the split, both pages seem to save OK. No time to tidy up tonight. --Andy 22:16, 16 July 2006 (UTC)
update 2 after switching off RSS rendering module, the poblem can still be reproduced so that's a red herring. --Andy 22:43, 16 July 2006 (UTC)
update 3 After much experimentation and investigation I think I've nailed the problem by upping the memory limit for php. Please let me know if any further problems occur. --Andy 09:59, 17 July 2006 (UTC)
Excellent - thanks Andy. --Richard Fairhurst 23:47, 18 July 2006 (UTC)
