Saturday 10th Sept

The Coleshill Estate, near Faringdon in Oxfordshire, is holding a Local Food Festival and Organics Open Day on Saturday 10th Sept from 11 am to 5 pm.

We shall be running a cider bar, and so will Coleshill Cider, a fairly new producer based near there and using local fruit.

There will also be a mini beer festival, wine tastings, poultry, exhibitions, etc.

Mitchell F&D Limited run some cider and perry making courses for the industry CIDER-MAKING COURSE The next UK course: Cider Making - Principles & Practice is scheduled for 5th - 9th September 2005.

156th Moorgreen Country Show, off Long Lane, Watnall, nr Nottingham.
Traditional Agricultural and Horticultural show with a large Beer & Cider tent (AKA the 'Nottinghamshire Beer Festival').

August Bank Holiday weekend: Sat. 27th, Sun. 28th and Monday 29th August.

OS Sheet 129/503463; approx. 6 miles NW of Nottingham, a couple of miles from Jcn 26 of the M1. Take the A610 towards Nottingham and at the first island after the M1 Jcn 26 on the A610, get in the left lane (B600 "Nuthall"). Pass back under the M1 bridge and then turn right, following the B600 signposted "Watnall". After 1 1/2 miles turn right onto Long Lane, the B6009, signposted "Hucknall". The entrance is about 1/2 mile along this lane.

Hereford Beer Festival Hereford 24th-26th First Hereford CAMRA festival so no form on this one, but a good cider and perry bar is expected.

Friday June 24th, 8pm. Welsh Cider Meal, Clytha Arms, near Abergavenny. A five course gourmet meal with each course cooked with Welsh perry or cider, and served with a Welsh perry or cider. Further details to be confirmed at the meeting on March 29th.

Friday June 24th, 8pm ukcider London meetup at the Oakdale Arms, 283 Hermitage Road, Harringay, N4 1NP - about 10 mins walk from Manor House Tube.

Three Counties Show Malvern, Worcs 17th-19th June Three Counties Cider & Perry Assc will have their annual competition as well as a display, tastings and sales of produce from their members. Around a dozen cider makers have stalls dotted around the show ground.

April 15th Powerstock Cider festival at the Powerstock village hall ( not the Three Horseshoes, as shown previously) Powerstock, Bridport, Dorset, It starts at 6.30 pm. Powerstock is a small village in the back of beyond, 5 miles north east of Bridport. 1 commercial producer and FOURTEEN ciders available are produced by local amateurs. 40p per wineglassfull.

London: The Oakdale had a beer festival, 21st - 27th Feb. The pub is at 283 Hermitage Road, Harringay, N4 1NP. Hermitage Road runs between Green Lanes and St. Ann's Road. You can phone us on 020 8800 2013.


These were available in addition to the usual Cassels, Old Rosie or Biddendens. Ask for them at the main bar; we will fetch them from the cellar.
