Green Valley Cyder is a real cider producer based in Clyst St. George near Exeter in Devon.

Chris Coles has been making cider at Darts Farm since 1989 and sources his fruit from several small local cider apple growers around Devon.

Green Valley Cyder won Bronze in 2007 and Gold in 2008 in CAMRA's National Cider and Perry Championships.

The award winning cider is produced using typical old Devon varieties from one particular orchard at Woodbury Salterton.

A dry and a sweet cider is made and then mixed to individual tastes. It is sold in 10l and 20l bag in box. Naturally they are happy to let you sample some of their cider before you buy, and if you ask Chris nicely he'll show you his cider making video.

The business is integrated into the Darts Farm complex which is a large emporium, selling many other things besides the cider that they make, they also stock over 100 other Westcountry ciders and hundreds of ales, wines, cheeses, meats and gifts.

If you'd like to visit Darts Farm, turn west off the A376 Exeter to Exmouth road at a mini-roundabout, towards Topsham and Darts Farm is a couple of hundred yards on the right. (Map ref 978884). The number 56 bus goes past Darts Farm to and from Exeter, click here for timetable. CiderMike 14:31, 19 February 2011 (UTC)
