A fantastic day out for any real cider enthusiast. A full demonstration of a variety of old fashioned vintage presses, including our 'Workman' steam driven press, the only one in the country that we know of that is still working. 13th and 14th October 2012 events.

  • Charity Wassail (Sunday 15th April 2012) - 1st Royal Marine Cider Festival at The Royal Marine Inn, Great Western Terrace, Yeovil, Somerset BA21 5AA

Details: A cider festival to help launch the pub under its new ownership, with Wurzels-flavoured, cider-fuelled Scrumpy & Western entertainment from The Mangledwurzels!

  • Charity Wassail (Saturday 14th April 2012) - Matchday Cider Festival (Oxford vs Gillingham) at The Priory, Grenoble Road, Littlemore, Oxford, Oxfordshire OX4 4YY (01865 747033)

Details: An massive all-day ciderfest around the Oxford vs Gillingham match with Wurzels-flavoured, cider-fuelled Scrumpy & Western entertainment from The Mangledwurzels! Expect a huge range of ciders from around the country. Normal pub opening hours; The Mangledwurzels will be performing a 45 minute pre-match warm-up cider party set from 1.30pm, and then the full two-set show after full-time from 5.15pm. The Mangledwurzels are a three-piece Scrumpy & Western band based in Somerset writing and performing in the style of Adge Cutler. Formed in early 2005, the band has established themselves across the West Country with their highly entertaining live performances blending classic Wurzels songs with self-penned original compositions and pop standards 'Mangled' in true Wurzels tradition.

  • Spring Cider Dinner Friday 23rd March, Bishopston Supper Club, Bristol

Bristol Cider Shop's third cider dinner with Bishopston Supper Club. Featuring 5 courses of seasonal food, each matched with a choice cider or perry, and many featuring cider as an ingredient. The 6th Bath Cider Festival is one of the largest gatherings of real ciders and perries - and cider and perry drinkers - in the West. On offer will be over 100 ciders and perries including award-winning ciders from Somerset, Herefordshire, Hampshire and South Wales - as well as hog roast rolls and cheese platters, and a range of soft drinks for the drivers.
As well as the cider and perry, the Bristol Cider Festival will offer the best in local entertainment. Somerset's premier Wurzels tribute band The Mangledwurzels will be playing a full show at all three sessions, providing their own brand of Wurzels-flavoured, cider-fuelled Scrumpy & Western entertainment to help you drink up thy cider. The Mangledwurzels have played at all CiderFestivals.co.uk festivals across the country from Norwich to Swansea - and are guaranteed to entertain.

Details: Burnham-On-Sea Rotary Club in association with Rich's Farmhouse Cider are holding their annual Wassail to raise money for charity (and ensure a good crop of apples, of course!).   • " WASSAIL" Saturday 14th January, 6p.m. - Midnight

Hunter's Moon Morris and the National Collection of Cider & Perry at Middle Farm invite one and all to wassail the farmhouse orchard, with torchlit procession, mummers, ceilidh/barndance, hogroast, barbecue and licensed bar with lashings of hot mulled cider.
